On 10th December,2016 Mozilla Bangladesh arranged an event on this upcoming technology  Virtual reality(VR) called WebVR@Dhaka. Basically,it was a campaign event of WebVR which is under developer engagement and also a part of Mozilla Active Campaign. The purpose of the event was to introduce the audience with MozVR and how to create virtual reality using A-frame framework.

What was on your mind when you first heard about VR?

Suppose, I imagine you are thinking about something which gets your mind away from the reality. If u thinking like that then you are right.Virtual Reality comes naturally from the definitions for both ‘virtual’ and ‘reality’. The definition of ‘virtual’ is near and reality is what we experience as human beings.

So the term ‘virtual reality’ basically means ‘near reality’. This could of course mean anything but it usually refers to a specific type of reality emulation. In technical terms, virtual reality is a three-dimensional, computer generated environment which can be explored and interacted with by a person. That person becomes part of this virtual world or is immersed within this environment and whilst there is able to manipulate objects or perform a series of actions.

The event was held in Grand Oriental Hospitality Limited  and it was started at 12:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm. There was ticketing system for joining the event and all the tickets sold out just in one day.

There was two speakers who conducted the whole event nicely. Salman Rahman Desh  was  the opening keynote speaker. He began his speech with WebVR and then he showed everyone how to use A-frame.
